Beauty in The Catholic Faith  The Catholicism Series shows the great beauty of its faith through art, architecture, and music.  I wanted to share a website that has resources for current people in the faith who continue to produce sacred art: www.thesacredarts.org

Thanks to Father Barron and his team at WOF for helping to share this with the world with the awe inspiring Catholicism Series.

God Bless,

RE:Beauty in The Catholic Faith I have also been struck by the subtle study of scripture provided by the series.
One that touched me profoundly was in the discussion about Peter and Jesus in the original text. In English, we miss the meaning as Jeseus says to Peter: "Peter, agape" and Petere's reply is "fellios". It happens again until Jesus finally says "Felios, Peter". In English, we loose the meaning that Peter just isn't there yet at "agape" and is being honest about that. Jesus seems to finally accept that and meets Peter on his level, where he is at that moment, in "felios".
What struck me about that was it is an answer to a deep sorrow and frustration I have had for a long time. I love my brothers & sisters- the Protestants, Free Evangelicals, the athiests, the agnostics and all and I have been so confused at how they can all be SO CLOSE to God and not see it. For those who are Christian, how can you say you love Him and not want to be with Him? Even Catholics who do not beleive in the real presence- ugh! It just kills me.

But then I heard this exchange presented in Fr Barron's series and it was made so clear, so simple. Jesus meets them where they are. He knows them better than I. All that I can do is be patient, kind and keep up on my studies so that if I am called upon to answer a question or objection, I am prepared to do so with love and with the same truth as tought by mother Chruch.

It was a very eye-opening and profound moment for me. Thank you, Father Barron for helping to illuminate this truth!
