October 16, 2013:
Fr. Barron will offer the morning address at the "Magnificat Day" in Philadelphia on Saturday, November 9, 2013.
From the event website: "After the amazing success in Orange County last year, the Magnificat Day phenomenon is coming to the East coast. The day will be filled with the same prayerful approach to beauty that you have come to expect from the Magnificat publication. At the end of the Year of Faith, the Magnificat Foundation is offering a day of companionship to thank God with one voice for all the graces we have received.
Guiding our hearts and minds throughout the day will be a particular emphasis on music. Pieces from Handel’s Messiah will accompany us throughout the day, which will conclude with a Prayer for the Evening and a Eucharistic procession through the streets of Philadelphia.
By special appointment, the Magnificat Foundation has been entrusted with the relics of the Little Flower, St. Thérèse of Lisieux, and of her parents, Blessed Louis and Zélie Martin, for its mission in the United States. The example of these saints and the presence of their relics are a great blessing and a support for the sanctification of the people of God, especially lay couples and their children. The relics will be available for veneration all day."
