Robert Mixa reviews the recently released movie,
Prince of Persia, addressing how this film demonstrates our contemporary obsession with power.

Today is the Feast of the Ugandan Martyrs. Father Barron and the Word on Fire team are in Uganda filming for the
Catholicism series and participating in the celebration, which attracts over 500,000 people, some of whom walked for two weeks from neighboring countries in order to participate!
The crew visited an orphanage in Kapeeka, Uganda, yesterday. The orphans had prepared a beautiful welcoming song for the team, and Nancy Ross sent the video! Watch it on the blog post.
In addition, the celebration of the Feast began today. Father Steve offered a special Mass at the Word on Fire Chapel in honor of Saint Charles Lwanga and his companions, who were martyred in Uganda in the late 1800's. Read his homily here, and join us in prayer for the Word on Fire team and the people of Uganda through the intercession of St. Charles Lwanga and his holy companions.

Here is the second round of photos from the Word on Fire trip to Calcutta, where the team was filming for another episode of
Catholicism.
Blessed Teresa of Calcutta, pray for us!

The Word on Fire team just left India on their way to Uganda to film more of
Catholicism. Matt Leonard, Director of the series, sent along these pictures from their time in Calcutta. Thank you for all of your prayers as the Word on Fire team travels around the world!

Father Barron and part of the Word on Fire team continue their pilgrimage filming for the
Catholicism Project. Meanwhile, Dr. Denis McNamara has offered his expertise on architecture and theology to explain more fully the idea of a "pilgrimage" as it relates to the church structure and the Christian life. Listen as he explains this with regards to Chartres Cathedral in France.

Catholicism Project pilgrimage page!
