This is a great article. I think that you should write a book about this. I know that there are probably many books out there that touches on this subject, but it seems that your style of writing is better at reaching the minds of the lay people, especially young people. I know that you are working on your project on Catholicism, but I think that you recognize how many young people understand the authority that they put on science, so I think it's very important to write a book or a do*****entary touching on this subject. How many young people are ignorant of the fact that it was a Christian paradigm in Europe that gave science a viable birth. I'm one of the few young people who understands this. I can only do so much in my limited influence to bring this understanding to others. You have an influence and a style of communication that is invaluable and I think you should really pursue a project that clearly communicates the importance of how Christianity gave science a viable birth and get to the nitty gritty of the Galileo controversy. Many young people misunderstand what happened with the Church and Galileo. If you do write this book, I think you should mention the Good, the Bad, and the Ugly of how the Church has handled science because overall, the Church didn't do such a bad job. Many young people confuse Fundamentalism with genuine Christian doctrine. You should address all these things. It would definitely be very helpful. Thanks Fr. Barron for all that you do and may God bless you.

See the outstanding book "Galileo Was Wrong: The Church Was Right" and be sure to visit the author's sites: www.galileowasrigh.blogspot.com and www.galileowasright.com. as well as Catholic Apologist John Salza's site concerning geocentrism at http://www.scripturecatholic.com/geocentrism.html.

I have "Galileo Was Wrong" too. That's a great textbook-class volume on Geocentrism. Robert Sungenis's book "Genesis 1-11" is also a wonderful book on science and faith. He rebuts some of the strange interpretations of Scripture by Fr. Raymond Brown and Fr. Stanelt Jaki in it.
