Thank you for your leadership in creating the Catholicism Series. As a Protestant, I have always been drawn to Catholicism. Last year, in fact, I completed the RCIA series though, as of this writing, have not yet converted to your faith. It wasn't the right time for a myriad of reasons, not least of which was a hesitancy of the heart. The journey continues, however, and I hope to, one day, embrace Catholicism with complete joy and confidence. Having spoken to a priest the other day (a former Protestant),one of your quotes in the above message was especially profound. You mentioned that Lincoln's knowledge of God was "in many respects, deeply inadequate." I assume your opinion derives -- at least partially -- from the president's Protestant faith and upbringing. Would that be correct? Your insights would be most appreciated.
