Amazing insight! Speaking of Luther, I was raised Lutheran but became Catholic 8 years ago. One thing I have found about Catholicism, in stark contrast to Lutheranism, is that I KNOW I am forgiven when I go to confession and the priest pronounces it, acting in the person of Christ. I was forgiven through the SACRAMENTS of confession, baptism, the Eucharist etc., offered through Christ's mystical body the Church, and not just through some vague feeling, that's when I knew I was truly forgiven! Thank you Father Barron!

i agree with fr barron on the propensity to separate spirituality and religion it can then become just a head trip without the hard yet noble work of community
