Written Word > Articles & Commentaries > May 2011 > Bob Dylan in China
Current rating: 4.9 (8 ratings)
The Holy Father's intentions for the month of May is Truth in Media and for missionary work to continue in conversion for those in China. It seems your article has shown us, the church, that Bob Dylan has answered the Call of Pope Benedict XVI for May and is using truth in media to evangelize the people of China, but even more beautiful is that he is doing it in a language they can receive. Let us all LISTEN, the invitation of the Holy Spirt, which is to remember that when we speak to those who do not have faith, we must speak in a language they can receive. This is Divine Mercy.

This is a unique side of Fr. Barron. I have sent this post to others who are Dylan fans, and probably don't realize this point of view from a Catholic priest. Nicely done.

Thank you for this piece Fr. I did not know Bob Dylan to be a spiritual person. I went to a catholic school in Sydney. My art teacher in Year 8 played Dylan a lot in class as part of our inspiration and I always just thought that he supported the degenerative 60's era. Sorry Dylan. I look forward to hearing your music again.
