Wow! What a journey into the mind and days of Saint Thomas Aquinas via his own hand written work. I envy you Fr. Baron on this great privilege you had with your colleague Fr. there in the Vatican library.

Pax Christi.

Sure would like to see a photocopy of a typical page of St. Thomas writing, must be available somewhere... but to see and feel the original text must have sent shivers up your spine!

Just returned from a two-week course in Norcia, Umbria, wherein we read and discused Thomas Aquinas on baptism and matrimony. Having never read his work before, and not having studied theology, his method (stating objections first, etc.), syntax, etc., were a bit daunting. Even being able to read the English, he was still somewhat indecipherable in one sense. But, we had fun struggling through the readings and discussing them.
