The message of the cross is nonsense to those who are being destroyed, but it is God power to us who are being saved. The "power of now" is not from Oprah and Eckhart Tolle, but from God.The power is the cross and "now" is the word that the church emphasizes on it:The Holy past is present "now" with power.Let Oprah if she dare,to speak on TV about the true "power of now" in the book the coin of the temple by souheil bayoud.

Paul Jackson
Even in our Churches we have priests who are removing Christ from the centre of prayer. In our Parish we are having a retreat by the dubious WCCM (World Centre for Christian Meditation) or something like that. I posted about it on my blog here http://t.co/74Hk4uS, of course not as eloquent as Fr Barron :-)
